Meat Department Wages

Hello all,

Dont want to get to personal or anything but I am wondering what the hourly wage for meat cutters is out there in the world.  Also how about managers and assistant managers?  I am wondering what the difference is between countries.

thanks

When I worked for a company it was £8.78 per hour, then when I was contracting it was £15.00 ph.
Not sure if you can make sense of the £ to $ thing but there it is.

Thanks people, it seems that the scale is very large, sorry for you in NC. Here in Alberta the wages range from 16-20 or more depending on where you work. That is non-unionized of course.

Here in northern Ohio with some experience about $15.00 journeymen are at 18.00 to 22.00 with full benefits union.

Managers at chain stores are at about 52,000 to 55,000 + bonus.

One week I made 8 dollars an hour....

but then again when I first started in the biz I was the night manager of the store, and learning cutting at the same time. $5.15/hr.
