Thanks I am trying to rebuild it. I have too much going on after it launched in 99' I have built window programs, however the newer internet is a bit ahead of me. No more front page and I have a hard time with Dream Weaver

RE: MEET MARTIN ANOTHER NEW MEMBER

I have a long way to go, too many missing hyperlinks, and I think I am going to go and take a refresher class on c+++ and java scripting. The codes I usee and software I have now is really out of date, and I don't do it all the time. When I am working on my site, I try to share what I know, because as most of old timers' know, box beef is not a real challange, as those that work alone in $110K shops like I do now, The benefits are great and after 50 years of age, it's hard to find another spot with the wage that I feel I'm worth. They can find someone else for 40K a year, they don't need my skills anymore but 75+ is hard. I might as well make it while I can. Website classes soon

By  the way I have another website out there I created for another friend. I use to have 5 out there.

down to 2 www.fastframeskokie.com

is the other

Welcome,,,,welcome,, your making 75K,, SSSHHH. before someone comes under bid you with raise for them.. lol

Talking about,, Pay. Too Leon, and those working - teaching at the """MEAT CUTTER SCHO0L""".

I was thinking what is need to be able to show where if , IF, A Grocery chain was to bring in Quality help.
whole crew, into a Store that doing 200K a week in sales, meat dept at 20 K or so. An turn that market into 30-40 k a week, boosting sales across the board on the store. stores now at 350k a week.

THEN, ,,,,,
could there be grounds for the funding too the school AND a higher set pay scale for those that coming out of the school with A JOB from completion of the classes- while in Class - Training or is trained personal.

NOW, I have done this Many time in Stores, where and I know a few could back me on this, that , there is Shops out there that is Killing sales. UN-train and Knowingly they are killing sales, for more sales means more work, right ? and No raise in pay. So why do they care - Dont care ?

Those Store can double their sales in a VERY short time, EASY. I have done it...Many times over

GOT to some how change how the TOP Manage in Grocery chains is thinking to Skilled Labor. In Order to keep the Trade alive at the local stores level , """ Fast in my thoughts"" VS pre-cut or pre-packaged. which is done by illegal labor 97% of the time. It will be taken over.

RE: MEET MARTIN ANOTHER NEW MEMBER

But the skill of taking it from Kill Floor, To Primal Cuts', to tree hooks full of arm chucks, and we didn't have to worry about Liability, Ecoli, we don't cut every thing like in the 70's. They have processing plants cutting case ready pork, pre packaged chicken, already priced. The fun and skill that went along with it is gone. I started at AMPAC slaughtering pigs, went to St. Louis for a Government run beef boning plant, like when I went from AMPAC to a 47th Place Beef Boning Plant. All these plantss were owned by my Mother's Brother.  I could never teach anyone everything I know unless they want to learn. Now I am the only cutter at an average $110K shop. Leadership, Rotation???? Yesterday I found dated products that atre in the counter, not the bacon section, dated 4/25/12 - 5/25/12 - 5/26/12/ - 5/27/12 Managers' are cutters' in the new economy/. Kids that are looking for a fast buck, want to work meat, but think it's all fun and games. They live at home and pay their cell bill with money they get tired of working so hard, and leave. I work at a Kroger Store. It's tough.  I am 57 and want to work as a manager a few more years.

Marty

You are right, when I went to Cincinatti where  they have the ground beef and pork cut, it was all spanish, the top people were American. This is the propblem the union created when they wanted to merge all the personal into 1. That was the downfall. The only time we

The meat dept has to be 300k for that to work, we sell 110k a week. I was number 1 for a while, at 170k a week, now we have 300k dept not stores, just the meat dept
