The wed after labor day we reset our service case with a fall display of stuffed peppers, stuffed hot peppers, meatloaf,meatballs and yesterday I did some cabbage rolls. Not to mention cut down on some steaks and added roasts
as soon as it gets a little colder going to eliminate some family packs of grilling steaks and push more good roasts. sirloin tip and top of round. as i am sure you remember i got a small case can't fit as much as i would like so have to eliminate things.
Its time to switch over to more roast and oven ready products, we like to push stuffed products like chops, whole chickens, chicken breast and oven ready chicken parts, we just make sure everything is fresh and season it up. we use a commmercial spice blend but our customers think we are the only place they can get it so they just keep coming back!! I love it.
we had a flood here, actually 2 within a week, we are the only supermarket in a 20 range that is open. we have been hammered! love the rush!! they are saying the other stores are going to be about 4 week getting open
roasts, meatloaf,meatballs, stuffed chops/roasts. and what ever else i can come up with. time to cut grilling steaks a bit thinner and cut back on flank steak and chuck tender family packs. also cutting the heel out of rounds rolling and tying or trying to femur bones again. getting the nasy precut and packed shanks oxtail and short ribs. maybe salisbury steaks this time....
