After posting the picture of those yak steaks I've had the chance to talk through e-mail to Eddy Sanders, the owner of Grunniens Yak Ranch. http://www.theyakranch.com/  click the link and check out Eddys Yak Ranch. Our young cutters of the future may be cutting a lot Yak.

  Below is a video of another Yak Rancher.

those two big bulls beating up that little yak. couple of bullys aren't they. that a big animal. and another note that chef in the top video knows how to cut a strip....leave the fat on good man.

interesting story, I have heard of Yak up north, never eat any but would give it a try. from the video's it may be in the meat case in a few years but I think only in meat shops. I don't think the chains will fool with it much.

maybe i missed this but doesn't anyone know if yak whole sale prices are lower than beef?
