a week ago i said something about posting pics of our shish kabobs to compare how we do them. You know I went to kroger last week and checked out the meat dept like i do every time i go to a different store for any reason. Who ever did those chicken shish kabobs at davison, mi krogers last week Shame on you Are you trying to sell those are just take up space? Kabobs should look pretty. this is how i do it. What do you folks think? beef chunks too big or small? some people like the veggies to overlap more but i like them a little smaller.

for the benefit of a k roger response, there are two possibilites. one, is that they are factory made and shipped to the store as such. or, the veggies come in pre cut and there is a specific order in which they must be assembled to yield maximum output for the veggies......
well actually i thought they could have used more veggies. it was just really sloppy no order it it at all. i think it was probably just a particular lazy guy who did it.

I'd buy them if you had one more peice of meat on there. For me, I forget the mushroom. They get dark and slimey too quick once wrapped. Otherwise, I'd throw those on the grill for sure.
thanks.....i i would like to put a another piece of meat on it too but we just don't have longer trays in this store we actually got the longer skewers but no trays to accomodate them..go figure huh...i like the mushroom because its heavy. but maybe starting it with a piece of meat instead mightwork better i ll try that
i think those kabobs look pretty good.........i did some all meat one today chicken breats and bacon the seem to go pretty good.....i kept the bacon whole and weaved it on it looked nice .........do you guys ever do all meat kabons....i was thinking of doing a chicken and beef one or a lamb and beef one...........not sure how they would go but i know i would love to buy a mixed meat kabob
hey thats a good idea butcher29 i am going to try that this weekend chicken breast and bacon. used to do all meat at giant but to me it kind of defeats the purpose. they should have veggies or they are just meat on a stick.

i do all beef ones and all pork ones.......just meat for beef i marinated it in olive oil and montrael spice and pork i use greek yogurt sauce kinda like slavoki kabob..lol...... i know it defeats the purpose the guys love them ...........and the women usually but the veggie and meat ones
i forgot what we did at giant was one skewer was all meat the other skewer was mixed veggies..but them both in a tray. that way you cook them seperately and push them all off into a pita pocket.
fwiw i had some lamd on a skewer on my grill. i was fabulous. marinated in olive oil, white pepper, sea salt and fresh chopped garlic, a little white or red wine would of made it a perfect marinade
Those look great. At our store we pretty much do whatever cause we sell so many, but the company policy is the stoplight affect. Meat a green pepper, meat a yellow pepper, meat and a red pepper meat mushroom meat and an onion on top. 5 peices of meat totall. I would love to put the zuccini on for the weight but we have a great kabob clinental and I would fear they wouldnt want anything different. Out of 12 stores we have the highest kabob sales. But Id eat yours for sure they look wonderful! ;)
