i get the do you have a bathrrom question alot..lol.......thing that annoys me the most i dont know why cause there the customer can i have this one pork chop outt this pack and theis pork chop outta the other pack..lol....im talking about combo club pack chops and they want those 2 .........i just smile and say yes maam
i used to get that butcher29 when i worked for a big chain store. people were always asking for this strip steak out of the family pack because it looks better than the rest or with pork chops. the manager told me to tell them no we have small packs for that reason.
i put the better looking steaks into small packs and rest into familys, the reason is that the would be more motiviated to buy the single pack based on looks than price, nothing worse for a customer than two steaks the same price and one is stunning and the other its ugly sister. since fp are discounted by up to 10 percent most of the time, people are usually looking for gettng the most bang for their buck. if they are really bad looking because of bad processing, then they may get hit up with some dry seasoning to help the cause.

the raise one is awsome..lmao.......i get asked whats onsale alot.......my meat counter is riddled with sale tags.......just incase we made a mistake they gotta ask i guess..lmao..............and i get alot right when they walk in the door wheres this or where is that i tell them to follow me and show them the directory above every ailse..lol
"Why is the ribeye on sale? What's wrong with it?" Mostly from older customers. Also, not really a question but a very irritating situation. An older lady asked for half a pound of ground lamb. I threw it on the scale and it hit 0.54. I printed the tag and started to wrap it up when the lady says ".54? How about .50 just like I asked for." I smiled, took a pinch off and said sure.
yeah i get that too..we ran out of leg 1/4 10lb bags..had to put something else there..people are asking got any more in the back like i wouldn't put them out if i did. i know EVERY single thing i have in the cooler. if someone askes me for the hotdogs i am out of and i saw right away i am sorry we are out we'll have more tomorrow morning. they don't believe me so they start asking everyone else who works there who in turn comes right back to me..i ll be like no really sir we don't have any more but if you want to go ask a cashier next feel free.

It's not only ladies who get that. I used to look a lot younger than my real age. I was probably already 23, but maybe looked 18. Had been in the meat business 6 years already. An old lady rings the bell and says "Oh, you probably can't answer my question. Isn't there anyone older than you back there?" She wanted back fat and didn't think I would have known what it is.
Even new coworkers, guys out of the union hall there just for the day, or from other stores just for the day would ask (before seeing me work) "are you a journeyman?"

I don't work retail but one of my long time employees asked me how many 8oz. tenderloin steaks per box. ( we always pack them 4/bag, 24/bx ) so I told him, the same as you have been doing it for the last 5 years, dumbass. I went and checked and he packed them 5/ bag, 50/box.
