I have had a few tell me it was rude to ignore them I just told them I didn't want to interrupt their obviously important phone call by waiting on them and asking questions to them

I hate when they stand at the counter while on the phone and they want help at the same time.
I hate when they make or receive a call while I'm already helping them.
We had a thread on this subject in the old MSN Meatcutters Club. Sometimes they actually apologize to the person on the other phone for talking to me and not giving them his undivided attention. BUT WHAT ABOUT ME? Why do they apologize to the caller, but not to me too?
People aren't going to get the best service while on the phone. If they ask for 2 lbs of ground beef, I'm not going to interrupt and ask if they want it in one package, or 2 packages of 1 lb each, or four half pounders, etc. Just all in one bag. If they want two pork chops, and they're on the phone, I'll just grab any two. Wont ask which ones they want.
Maybe this will be an opportunity to get rid of one that is getting old.
what i really hate is those little ear piece phones that you can't even see.. lots of times i would be working in front of the case and someone would moosey on over and i would here them say something and I would look up and go I am sorry what did you say? they'll give this little awkward way off and keep talking...then i ll figure it out ooooh you are on the phone with one of the stupid ear piece things do you have any idea how crazy you look until someone sees that thing in your ear? I mean no disrespct to any members who use those things its just a bit awkward when they are being used by customers.
