DENVER -- The Better Business Bureau is looking into a company that sold meat described as “not edible.” The products were sold by door-to-door sales people up and down the Front Range.
There's something missing from Karna Jones' kitchen. What she thought was $150 worth of quality beef, chicken and seafood is now in the garbage.
"I couldn't even eat it. I threw up,” said the mother from Longmont
Jones purchased the meat from a door-to-door salesman from Skyline Steak and Seafood, based in Commerce City.
"The hamburger was absolutely terrible,” said Jones.
Mrs. Jones isn't alone. Skyline Steak has 13 complaints on file with the Better Business Bureau in Denver."They're not responding," said president Dale Mingilton, referring to the steak company.
The organization has given the company an F, its lowest rating.
"Be cautious and think about that purchase," said Mingilton.
7News tried to contact someone from the company but our call has not yet been returned.
"I would like my money back," said Jones.
Even though the company advertises a no-refund policy, a salesperson told Jones they would give her money back.
"I felt like they were local, I wanted to support. Good little upstart company. And I was wrong," said Jones.
