RE: HORSE MEAT Interesting Story

Very interesting. Long too. I read about half of it. I saw the ground meat, but I'd like to see some pictures of steaks and roast too. It's interesting that although millions of horses are slaughtered for human consumption, the aren't really raised specifically for meat. First they have to become not valuable for anything else such as work, riding, or racing.

RE: HORSE MEAT Interesting Story

CarniceroLarry !! you the man  Glad to have you back on the boards, thought you had went on vacation again lol

Yes I found it interesting myself, it seems like I heard at one time years ago that New York had past a law that you could sell Horseburgers in certain areas. I don't know what ever came of it, never heard anything else about it.

I had heard also that one reason countries in Europe eat so much horsemeat was that in the World Wars that was what kept many of them alive. many eat the dead horses off the battlefields.

THANKS FOR DROPPING IN OLD FRIEND !!
