old blood gives up the reins

after coming home from surgery I sent for Eric, told him he was acting Market Manager, i had already talked with my Meat God about it. I told him he had about three months to show the " Gods " he could handle it, if he can this old blood is going to go ahead and retire this sept. 25  I think the young man will make a good one, he's been with me three and half years waiting for me to retire lol
 SO GOOD LUCK ERIC !!!

Keep in touch with him! You've got an invaluable amount of knowledge to share! Don't keep it to yourself! He'll treasure it! Also, don't never give up the love of cutting and sharing your knowledge with the younger ones! They'll love it!

old blood gives up the reins

Since I made this post, Eric has had my old market 14 months, He has beat my best sales week by over $6000.00

GET IT DONE ERIC !!

when Eric was sent to me, I got a phone that evening from my Regional " Meat God "  You got two weeks to get rid of him, he has a attitude problem.

Two weeks went by and he call me and ask, you getting rid of him today? I told him No I'm not Boss, the boy is a good cutter, give me a few weeks with him. I'll work with the " attitude ". two more weeks went by, I got a call,  you going to get rid of him?   No Boss I want to keep him, he will make you a good one some day, He has the love for the business.  I was told, Keep him BUT I never want to hear you cry about him !!

Which the first year and a half there was a few times I wanted to take a 2x4 to him myself BUT the man came through.

Now he is the proud Father of a great little boy, been a good market manager with a good gross and has a GREAT ATTITUDE.

I'M GLAD I KEPT HIM !! even if he didn't give me a discount on that whole ham I bought off of him two days ago  LOL
