I can't stand this new country of origin labeling bs. It is a waste of time, taxpayer money, and it results in more job loss in larger packing plants and suppliers just to cover up another half assed trade scheme and plan to get the consumer to buy more american made/raised product. Do you really thing they will be wanting to pay $2 a more per pound? haha. What's everyone elses thoughts?
Where I work, we even have to write our country of origin on our name tags. Example: Isidro- Mexico Jorge- Guatamala Marcos- Nicaragua Horacio-Mexico Jason-USA/Calif Andrew-USA Larry-USA/Virginia Juan-Mexico Mike-USA Mark-USA Mondo-USA Eppie-USA John-USA
Just kidding, but it wouldn't surprise me. BTW, our counter is conventional, so we just have to make sure our signs are correct. None of that BS with the scale every time youweigh something.
