Hi,cowboy. Yes this pic is of castle hill and our little boat harbor here in Townsville. The climate here is hot all year round but really hot at this time (45 degree celcius+ and high humitaty)makes it hot in a slaughter house. The water looks good for a swim but you cant as we have jellyfish here that can sting you bad and even kill you. The fishing is awsome out on the barrier reef about 1 1/2 hour boat ride from here.
I worked at a abattior  in southern Queensland with a few bull riders that went to the US and done pretty well, Farren Copp was one name i can remember.
I'am also the brother of a member dassteels and have made steels with him. i also enjoy making and heat treating knives out of different steels including demascus steel, so if any member have any questions about knifes I can try and answer them eg. rockwell hardness, knife sharpening etc.   Steve.

G'day All

I too am a new member from Toowoomba, Australia and just happen to be the Dad of Steve (quadangle) and Darren (dazsteel2008).

I have set up a basic site showing some of their work and you can access it from a link to "Ballment Custom Steels" on the bottom left of the Meat Cutters Club home page here:

http://sites.google.com/site/meatcuttersclub/

I am pretty proud of the work my 2 boys do.  Hope you like it.

Cheers

Don
